Summary
[edit]DescriptionDerby 1 on the depot fan, (geograph 6541515).jpg |
English: Derby 1 on the depot fan at the National Tramway Museum, Crich, Derbyshire, UK. A rare sunshine view of this tram LinkExternal link which was cosmetically restored to form part of the display in the new Exhibition Hall. It provides a typical example of a small open-top tram of the first generation (c.1900-10) of electric trams. It has never operated in service at Crich. The trams in Derby ran on a narrower gauge (4 ft) than standard, and the truck is not of the same type as the original, having been sourced from Blackpool Corporation. Behind Derby 1 is Leeds City Tramways works car 2. |
