| Description |
English: A bus stop in Castle Street, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, in February 2010. Until 5 April 2009, this stop and the stop the other side of the road were served by Southern Vectis route 4 (Ryde - East Cowes), but this was divertd via the main road from that date, leaving this route, Old Road and the Hefford Road area with no bus service. A photo of this stop on 1 Marh 2009, when served by roue 4, can be seen here: File:East Cowes Castle Street bus stop 2.JPG. A photo taken on 7 August 2009, when the road had no buses, can be seen here: File:East Cowes Castle Street old bus stops.JPG. From September 2010, new route 25 was started. This is a limited service funded by the developers of the Hawthorn Meadws development. This runs in a one way loop around Hefford Road, so only this stops is back in use - the stop the other side (with bus shelter), is still not in use. |
