Summary
[edit]| Description | GWR coaches now in use as engineers' coaches but originally were a flat roofed 3rd Class 4-wheeled compartment coach of 1880, a bogie 3rd Class clerestory-roofed corridor coach of 1900 and another flat roofed 3rd Class 4-wheeled compartment coach of 1880, at Woodham's Scrapyard, Barry, 05/67. If my (breif!) notes of that visit are correct, then the bogie coach is most likely to be a clerestory, gangwayed 3rd Class 46'7" coach of Diagram C10 (the standard GWR 3rd Class main line coach built in many lots 1898-1902) built at Swindon, in 1900 in either Lot 949, 957 or 958.
