Abstract
Recent research indicate that achieved work in natural Arabic text understanding is still in its infancy. Related work in both Arabic and some other languages have been surveyed and a new approach to allow processing the natural Arabic text is proposed. In most natural languages, while classifying words according to their categories is the role of the Parsers, the rich semantic available in the Arabic language obviate the need of the parser. The proposed approach is based on classifying words into categories of Bases and represents them as a form of Semantic Network. New words can be deduced and used later to answer queries.
