Abstract

The configuration and personalization of routes, for short tourist activities, plays a fundamental role in improving the experiences of tourists and must be assumed as an objective in any tourist destination in the conditions of an increasingly competitive market. This study aims to achieve a system of recommendation of a certain tourist route, by selecting different points of interest in the objective, taking into account the preferences and constraints of the tourist. Custom routes are obtained by applying a series of dedicated tools that integrate heuristic and non-heuristic algorithms and gamification, representations in the form of heat maps and graphs. The paper presents the customized routes for the case of a theme park proposed to be made in a mining perimeter in the Jiu Valley, Romania.
