Abstract
This paper presents a summary of the main contributions to the 2nd International Workshop on User Modeling and Adaptation for Daily Routines: Providing Assistance to People with Special and Specific Needs, held in conjunction with UMAP’2011. It describes the discussions carried out during the workshop as well, and includes some reflections about key issues and current trends in the research of user modeling and adaptive systems focused on assisting people with special and specific needs.
