Vom lokalen Hypertext zum verteilten Hypermediasystem

Hypertext und Hypermedia

Part of the book series: Informatik-Fachberichte ((INFORMATIK,volume 249))

Abstract

This article describes two aspects of current hypermedia research: open hypertext systems and individual user contexts. The first aspect is supported by protocols, architectures, and codes that are a matter of current standardization. The second aspect is discussed on the background of the prototype system CONCORDE. This hypertext system enables application-specific user-support by typed and constrained links as well as private contexts.

On the way from local hypertext systems to distributed hypermedia environments, both aspects have to be considered: open hypertext relates objects of various applications; individual user contexts are supported by dedicated tools, objects, and link types.
