Abstract
Agents in highly dynamic multi-agent environments can break contracts. Hence, trust models play a critical role in making better evaluations of unknown candidates, and better decisions about when, and who, to interact, especially in e-commerce. However, current trust models do not contain any standard components. It is noted that finding standard components are effective in designing a trust model which can support heterogeneous information related to multi-agent systems. This paper compares and analyzes some recent trust models based on three important components: reliability, similarity, and satisfaction. In addition, a comparison is made between the most representative models to point out significant strengths and weaknesses that exist in current trust models. The ultimate goal of this study is to define the relationship between these components. This analysis helps to identify the standard components of trust models for e-commerce multi-agent systems.
