Jaynee Germond (born July 23, 1957) is an American politician. A Republican, she was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Oregon's 4th congressional district in 2008 and 2010.

Germond ran for Congress again in 2010.[1] She has been endorsed by the Republican Liberty Caucus, the libertarian wing of the Republican Party.[2] However, she lost the May primary for the Republican nomination to Art Robinson.

Background

Germond was born in Flint, Michigan to Bill and Shirley Sanders. She spent 25 years in healthcare and 3 years teaching. She has a bachelor of arts in human resource administration from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan.[3]

Politics

Germond's 2008 campaign for Congress in Oregon's 4th congressional district was mainly a grassroots effort with her operating budget being less than $5,000.[citation needed] Germond ran as a member of the Constitution Party and was defeated by long-time incumbent Peter DeFazio. She is a member of Campaign for Liberty and received an endorsement from 2008 Presidential Candidate Ron Paul.[4] Germond again sought the 4th district House seat in 2010, running for the Republican nomination, but was defeated by Art Robinson.[5]
