I did some Googling and could not readily identify any reliable sources to expand the article. I also looked at the [https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caba%C3%B1a Spanish] and [https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabane French] articles. The problem is that the cognate words are not exact synonyms—they are better translated as ''cabin'' or ''hut'' so the content of those articles doesn't necessarily apply to the more restrictive meaning of ''cabana'' in English.
