I'm reading Locke's second treatise, and I'm seeing characters I cannot name.<br> |

Every time an 's' or a 'c' is followed by a 't', I see this squiggle-thing connected to the s or the c.<br> |

What character is this, and where can I find a copy of it online? I'm planning to write an essay on Locke, and I'm very particular about getting every character correct in my quotations. Thanks in advance. |

Imagine you are an alien and you are trying to learn the Latin alphabet, you are going to get the impression that the long s is the widely used lowercase letter. We should talk about it in a section. I think the introduction is not consistent.
[edit]Read along the path, all the introductions except this are written in full form of ordinary number like seventeenth, eighteenth but this is written as 19th. At one point I even felt it would be easier to rewrite all my books without using any S's! After the first day of discouraging trials, I showed what I had to my wife, and she said, "Why don't you make it S-shaped?" page 361
