Revision as of 03:58, 3 July 2011
Hello, 2andrewknyazev, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
- Also feel free to make test edits in the sandbox.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "{{helpme}}
" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help. ϢereSpielChequers 21:14, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Evgenii Georgievich D'yakonov, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.netlib.org/na-digest-html/06/v06n33.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 05:09, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- Reply: I have been the author of the http://www.netlib.org/na-digest-html/06/v06n33.html so I suppose that I control the copyright. In addition, I have also edited the contents of Evgenii Georgievich D'yakonov to minimize the appearance of a copy. I hope that this resolves the issue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2andrewknyazev (talk • contribs)
- It appears that you assert that you own the copyright and wish to donate it to Wikipedia. In that case, can you please follow the procedure outlined in Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials? From what I read this involves a bit more and the end result should be a note by someone else on that article's talk page. Otherwise the policy might require the article to be deleted and rewritten from scratch: Wikipedia:Copyright violations. Jmath666 (talk) 21:51, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- I've sent a email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org on 04/19/2010 07:05 PM donating it to Wikipedia. 2andrewknyazev (talk) 18:39, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Permission received and verified, I've marked the talk pages of the two articles it looks like are involved but let me know if there are others. James (T|C) 20:01, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Andrei Knyazev (mathematician). When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Simon-in-sagamihara (talk) 07:21, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- I have cleaned up the article to WP:NPOV. Jmath666 (talk) 21:40, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
Editing talk pages
Hi, please note Talk_page_guidelines#Editing_comments discourages editing comments on talk pages (in most cases), which also includes deleting them, even on your own. Is is customary that the whole discussion is kept after the issue has been resolved. This is useful for the continuity of wikipedia as well as to avoid possible broken links and references to discussions. I have restored the contents of this page from 03:58, 16 April 2010. File copyright problem with File:Vyacheslav Ivanovich Lebedev.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Vyacheslav Ivanovich Lebedev.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 07:52, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to 5 Days of August. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. If the content in question involves images, you also have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide the images that you may find offensive. Thank you. noclador (talk) 20:45, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
