Ivana Chubbuck
Ivana Chubbuck is an American acting coach and creator of the Chubbuck technique. She heads a drama school in Los Angeles and hosts acting workshops worldwide.[1][2] The Chubbuck technique is a 12-step process for actors that includes script analysis and personalization to create dynamic performances.[3]
She is the author of The Power of the Actor. The book has been translated into 20 languages.[4][5] A revised and updated edition of The Power of the Actor will be released in 2025.[6]
Chubbuck originally worked as an actress before becoming an acting coach.[7] Ivana’s students have been represented at the Academy Awards, Emmys, Tonys, Critics’ Choice, and many other international movie, television, and theater awards.[8] Some of her notable clients include David Boreanaz,[9] Halle Berry,[10] Aubrey Plaza[11], Eva Mendes,[12] Sylvester Stallone[13], Judith Light[14], Brad Pitt[15], Sharon Stone,[10] Charlize Theron,[16] Pamela Anderson[17], Shia LaBeouf, Chloe Fineman[18], Travis Fimmel[19], and Jon Voight.[10][20]
Personal life
[edit]Chubbuck was married to Lyndon Chubbuck, director of War Bride and The Right Temptation, until his death in 2021.[21] She has a daughter named Claire.[21]
