  • curprev 22:4522:45, 17 May 2024 OmegaMantis talk contribs 106,392 bytes +26 following recent revelations from unicode member emojipedia (https://blog.emojipedia.org/new-earliest-emoji-sets-from-1988-and-1990-uncovered/) the earliest emoji set has been changed again. This is the second of such findings in 5 years, and this shows that the origin of emoji is a bit more complicated than just "they invented it in 1997". I have updated the lede to give a broader emoji origin that leaves more room for new discoveries. i will update the history section later. Tag: Visual edit
