Temporary semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing. FMSky (talk) 15:20, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- User(s) blocked. El_C 18:26, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Semi-protected for a period of 3 weeks, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Well, I guess blocking the /64 (by HJ Mitchell) didn't work, because it's now showing a /25 for some reason (blocked by JJMC89, which doesn't even display), which also has a whole bunch of p-blocks, so I'm wary of messing with its other /64, but they're still vandalizing other pages, so I blocked just that one IPv4, which probably won't hold. ←One sentence! I have no idea how any of this works! Someone who knows a router from a different router should look into it, though. El_C 21:31, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Maybe I'll refactor at ANI just in case this slips through the Cyberbot crack pipe. El_C 21:33, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Semi-protection: BLP policy violations – This article has been a repeated source of BLP violations. The subject is the former Attorney General of Ontario and was charged with manslaughter, which was withdrawn by a special prosecutor in 2010. There is a vocal community that believes that decision was unfair, and we regularly get anon and brand new editors who edit the article to create major BLP violations (either directly by calling the subject a murderer, or indirectly by adding their own unsourced commentary to question the basis why the charge was withdrawn).
Last protection expired in June 2022. There's been some BLP violations in September and October 2022 - the last BLP violation stayed up for a 3-4 days before I removed it.
I leave duration up to an admin. Normally I would ask for temporary semi-protection, but given how much there's been in the past, and given how long it has stayed up in the past because there aren't a lot of watchers of the article, I'm wondering if permanent should be considered. - Pending-changes protected indefinitely. The best I can do for you is indef pc. The activity from June to now has been way too sparse (and that June protection was for only 2 days). El_C 20:58, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – IP vandalism has resumed after protection expired. See filter log. Jip Orlando (talk) 20:04, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Semi-protected for a period of one month, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. WarnerMedia lol. El_C 21:00, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Sockpuppetry. Persistent block evasion of the "YT Tuzz" vandal (that's what I call them cause that's the only vandalism they do) ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 20:11, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Semi-protected for a period of one week, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Goats? El_C 21:05, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
