Lapponia,[1] sive Lappia[2][1] et nunc in hodiernis Latinis: Sapponia[3] (Samice Sápmi ; Norvegice Sameland ; Suecice Lappland ; Finnice Lappi), est regio culturalis quam Sami secundum mores a maioribus traditos incolunt. Lapponia, in Europa Septentrionali sita, septentrionales Fennoscandiae partes comprehendit. Regio trans quattuor civitates extenditur: Norvegiam, Sueciam, Fenniam, Russiam. A septentrionibus a Mari Barentsiano, ab occidente a Mari Norvegico, ab oriente a Mari Albo finitur.[4][5]
