Usage

This template is used to request a split of a entry.

To use this template:

1. Add {{split|the first entry to be split into|the second|fragment=section title}} to the top of the page.
2. Click on the ⁽⁺⁾ to add the page to Wiktionary:Requests for moves, mergers and splits with reason and such.

Parameters

|1= (required)

The first entry to be split into.

|2= (required)

The second entry to be split into.

|fragment=

The title of the section at Wiktionary:Requests for moves, mergers and splits for discussing the proposed split. Defaults to the title of the page to be split.

|sort=

The sort key for the page; rarely needs to be specified.

|nocat=1

Disable categorization of this page.

This template adds the page to the following category:

• Category:Pages to be split (in all namespaces)
