[Feature]: Run playwright-codegen command with Chrome #2929

@igoose1

Description

@igoose1

🚀 Feature Request

In #348 there's a question whether codegen can work with Google Chrome but there was no answer. From docs and --help it seems the answer is "Codegen doesn't work with Chrome".

This feature request is about supporting chrome browser.

Example

$ playwright codegen --target=python-async --browser=chrome

Motivation

Chrome behaves slightly different than Chromium, and in my case (automating clicks on the web-site with media and DRM) this difference is significant. It would be nice if I could record my clicks in Chrome and copy-paste codegen result into my project.

I don't know how popular this request can be but we will never know without this issue.
