Ens[1] in philosophia metaphysica est notio latissima quae obiectivas et subiectivas realitatis et exsistentiae proprietates amplectitur. Omne quod participat in ente etiam dicitur "ens", quamquam saepe hunc sensus saepe definitur ad entitates quae subiectivitates habent (ut dicitur "homo"). Tanta lata erat notio inevitabiliter fugax et controversa in historia philosophiae, principio in Philosophia Occidentalis cum temptamentis intelligibiliter eamdem adhibendum.[2][3]
