Abstract

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an architectural style for designing systems in terms of services and the outcomes of services. In recent years, SOA has become a technology hot spot that is recognized and respected in industry. SOA Reference Architecture (RA) specifies fundamental elements of a SOA solution which be considered and used as a core guide for planning, designing, developing, deploying and managing SOA systems. In this paper, we give an overview of the standards on SOA RA developed by ISO/IEC JTC1/SC38, The Open Group, OASIS and China. The relationship and differences among those SOA RAs were analyzed. Finally a set of guidelines are developed for the application of SOA RAs in common situations.
