Orang Azerbaijan[23][24][25][26] (Bahasa Azeri: Azərbaycanlılar, Azərbaycan türkləri) ialah kumpulan etnik yang tinggal di barat laut Iran dan Republik Azerbaijan. Biasanya dirujuk sebagai, mereka tinggal dari rantau Kaukasus ke Iran. Majoriti Orang Azerbaijan menganut agama Islam Syiah.[27]

Walaupun tinggal berasingan kerana Perjanjian Gulistan (1813) dan Turkmenchay (1828), di mana Iran kehilangan wilayah utaranya kepada Rusia, Azerbaijan adalah satu kumpulan etnik.[28] Walau bagaimanapun, terdapat perbezaan antara Azerbaijan di utara dan selatan kerana perbezaan dalam evolusi sosial.
