Duplicate namespace alias lookup requests while loading a translation

Description

A lot of duplicate Api queries like
https://es.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?callback=jQuery11130185334851187819_1470718760963&action=query&format=json&meta=siteinfo&siprop=namespaces are spotted while monitoring the network requests when a translation is started or restored.

Two sources for this is identified. template module and images module. The caching of requests are not properly done
