Benjamin Lloyd is a Research Scientist in Science of Quantum & Information Technology at IBM Research Europe - Zürich. His research interests are photonics, quantum communication and quantum computing. He received his Bachelors in Physics with honors at UC Berkeley in 2021, and his Masters degree in Physics at UC Santa Barbara in 2022. Before joining IBM, he worked as a researcher on a variety of projects using solid state qubits in the context of sensing and quantum communication. At IBM, Ben has worked on quantum transduction via Electro-Optics in Yorktown, NY and currently via Optomechanics in Zürich.
