Marjorie Holt

American politician (1920–2018)

Marjorie Sewell Holt (September 17, 1920 – January 7, 2018) was an American politician and lawyer. She was a Republican. She was a U.S. Congresswoman who represented Maryland's 4th congressional district from January 3, 1973 to January 3, 1987. She was the first Republican woman elected to Congress from Maryland.[1] She was born in Birmingham, Alabama.

Holt died on January 7, 2018 in Severna Park, Maryland at the age of 97.[2]
