He hates Stiffly Stiffersons. He wants to prank them for hours in his basement.

'Sup! He's Bumblebee! Do you know how radical Bumblebee is? Pretty freakin' radical, man! He's always cruising the highways at dangerous speeds, pulling pranks, finding sweet human parties where he can headbang to some loud music, and of course pounding Decepticons. Optimus Prime sends him on as many missions as possible in order to curtail his unsolicited rebuilding of other people's bricks, but really there's no stopping him. Bumblebee is an unstoppable pranking monster on a constant bender.

Bumblebee interjected a few times during Optimus's speech, and operated the pyrotechnics during the whole presentation. The fighting resumed when a pizza was delivered to the battlefield. Optimus and Bumblebee came upon a battleground with their respective Mini Kreons in tow. Optimus combined with his Mini Kreons, and charged in, prompting Bumblebee to try and do the same. Unfortunately, during his transformation, Bumblebee's gun got stuck in the branches of a nearby tree. Attempting to get it out only managed to get more of his things stuck in the tree... until Bumblebee and all his Mini Kreons were entangled in the branches. Optimus then stumbled back, asking where Bumblebee was when he needed him. Bumblebee's weight caused the tree to collapse on his leader, and Megatron declared himself victorious over the Autobots. Commercial appearances

Bumblebee was part of an epic battle in a desert against the Decepticons. He managed to land a solid punch on Megatron's face, and did all sorts of fancy acrobatics to get to Megatron as the Decepticon dodged Optimus's missiles. He also allowed Optimus to ride atop of his vehicle mode so he could snag Starscream out of the air. KRE-O TRANSFORMERS Online Exclusive commercial When the narrator pointed out that the Transformers' battles had never been bigger, Bumblebee's Kreon pointed out that they never had been small either, and kicked Starscream's Kreon over, reducing him to pieces. As they proceeded, Bumblebee stumbled into a Decepticon trap and was captured. Bumblebee was kept in secure by electrical fields and guarded by two Starscreams until Optimus and Sentinel Prime came to his rescue. Using his hacking skills, Bumblebee tapped into many computer terminals so that the mission could proceed. Sometimes Ratchet needed to help him first by fixing the terminals. Eventually, the Autobots made it inside the Decepticon base, spread out and acquired the kit parts, which were assembled by Ratchet. Kreon Chaos

Toys

Kre-O

Though many of the toys below are "meant" to represent specific versions of Bumblebee from various franchises, for ease of reading every Bumblebee toy released in the Kre-O line is listed here, with individual entries repeated on the relevant Bumblebee pages.

The Prankmobile.
  • Bumblebee (2011)
    • Set number: 36421
    • Pieces: 336
    • Kreons: Bumblebee, Red Alert, Driver
    • Accessories: Missile, pistol (K100708), rifle (K100727)
The larger Bumblebee Kre-O kit is loosely based on the Bumblebee of the live-action films, with the face of the Generation 1 character. He rebuilds into a sports car that can seat two Kreon figures, and has a spring-loaded missile launcher.
He comes with three Kreons; a Bumblebee based very much on the Generation 1 Bumblebee, Red Alert, and an unnamed "Driver" with black hair and a gray shirt who we guess is meant to kinda sorta be a Sam Witwicky-like dude if you squint.

(thumbnail)
Hey everybody! Do the Bumblebee!
  • Bumblebee (2011)
    • Set number: 31144
    • Japanese release date: March 20 2013
    • Pieces: 74
The smaller Bumblebee Kre-O kit is loosely based on the original Bumblebee, with a head that's a straight copy of that Bumblebee's Classics toy head. He can be rebuilt into a hatchback and comes with no Kreons. Since his vehicle mode is basically a solid brick that can't hold any Kreons, this isn't such a big thing.

(thumbnail)
He only accepted this Stealth mission just to prank the target.
  • Stealth Bumblebee (2012)
    • Set number: 98814
    • Japanese release date: March 20 2013
    • Pieces: 257
    • Kreons: Bumblebee, Security Guard x2, Biker, Bulldog
    • Accessories: Handgun, shotgun, submachinegun, barrel x2, flak jacket
The "Stealth Bumblebee" set comes with a predominantly-black version of Bumblebee that rebuilds into a sports car capable of carrying a single Kreon. His right arm ends in a rotating barrel, simulating a built-in blaster-arm.
The accompanying Bumblebee Kreon is based on the Prime version of the character. He lacks a right hand, instead having a clear-blue cylinder that slips over the cuff, simulating an arm-blaster. He uses the Ironhide helmet and the Prowl door-wing backpack. Like most of the 2012 sets, Bumblebee comes with his own extra clear "Energon" torso piece. This piece was apparently intended to feature the Bumblebee tampographs at some point, but like all of the extra torsos in this year's assortment, it's been been left unimpressively blank.

KreO-toy Bumblebee Energon.jpg
  • Energon Bumblebee (2012, NYCC Exclusive)
    • Set number: A1556
    • Accessories: Small pistol
A redeco of the Generation 1 styled Bumblebee Kreon in clear blue plastic, exclusive to New York Comic Con 2012, Energon Bumblebee comes in its own special little window box with an outer sleeve.

(thumbnail)
Sadly does not come with the Prankster Bee Kreon.
  • Ultimate Vehicle Pack (2012)
    • Set number: A4583
    • Pieces: 279
    • Kreons: Bluestreak, Sideswipe
This bucket o' bricks contains unchanged versions of the 74-piece Bumblebee, 90-piece Optimus Prime and Jazz sets (minus the Jazz and Driver Kreons), as well as the Bluestreak and Sideswipe Kreons.

(thumbnail)
Beast Hunting Prankmobile.
  • Battle Net Bumblebee (2013)
    • Set number: A2202
    • Pieces: 178
    • Kreons: Bumblebee, Captain
    • Accessories: Scoped pistol
Available as part of the Battle Net Bumblebee set, Bumblebee can be built into a robot, or into an offroad vehicle with a net launcher mounted on the back. Accompanying him is the Predacon Stormrazor as well as Kreons of himself and a human Kreon resembling Captain Fanzone.

(thumbnail)
Leader of the Prankster Command Center.
  • Autobot Command Center (Playset, 2013)
    • Set number: A5412
    • Pieces: 461
    • Kreons: Arcee, Bumblebee, Knock Out, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Shockwave
The Autobot Command Center playset includes a Bumblebee Kreon, again based on Prime Bumblebee, only this time his tampographs are a bit more detailed. In lieu of the arm cannon, Bee has access to a variety of weapons stored on a weapons rack.
The set also comes with Prime-style Kreons of Arcee, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Shockwave, and "secret" Kreon Knock Out, who was unnamed and shown only in silhouette on the packaging. The set also included a brick-built Rippersnapper beast.

  • Kreon Figure Pack (2013)
A boxed set of five Kreons, with "G1" Bumblebee, Red Alert, Mirage, Jazz and a fifth "mystery" Kreon; a randomly-packed robot Kreon from the first year of the line. All Kreons in this set are completely identical to their prior releases.

(thumbnail)
Don't even think about how useful these would be for pranking.
  • Bumblebee (Custom Kreon, 2013)
    • Set number: A6087
    • Pieces: 40
    • Accessories: Rack, rifle, large gun, axe, rocket-pack
Part of the first assortment of "Custom Kreons", this version of Bumblebee comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his many many extra pieces. His tampographs are much more heavily-detailed than the original Kreon, based on the original Bumblebee toy. His "normal" helmet and large rifle are chromed, plus he comes with an extra clear-plastic helmet, torso and legs. He also has a pair of extra arms (originally from the Kre-O Battleship aliens), plus a buildable hand-cannon, rocket-pack and energon axe.
Bumblebee's tampos were also used to make Custom Kreon Cliffjumper.

(thumbnail)
Not gonna argue with extra pieces, but... still. Weird.
  • Kreon Class of 1984 (Kreon figure set, 2014)
    • Set number: B0090
    • Voted: Best Spark
    • Accessories: Scoped pistol
This version of Bumblebee has much more toy-based tampographs than his prior version, including a visored-and-masked face. He uses the Prowl style door-wings, which is really odd considering the toy he's based on does not have said feature.
He was only available in the "Kreon Class of 1984", a pack of 30 Kreons featuring (mostly) Transformers characters from 1984. This set was made for sale at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. Remaining stock was to be sold at Hasbro Toy Shop online, but it sold out at the convention.

(thumbnail)
Who's the better prankster? Only you decide!
Available exclusively at the gift shop for "Transformers: The Ride – 3D" at Universal Studios theme parks, this set features a Bumblebee Kreon based on the first three live-action movies, aka "the version of Bumblebee that there's a giant costumed performer of at the park that guests can get their pictures taken with".
In 2015(?), a new production run of the set was made using the revamped 2015-style Kreon bodies, among a few other small changes, including sharper tampographs with thinner linework.
While some of the other park-exclusive toys and merchandise can be purchased through Universal's online store, the Kreon 4-pack is only available at the park proper at the time of this writing. So uh, good luck.

(thumbnail)
Brace yourselves. For this set... you have to... use your imagination. We know. It'll be okay.
  • Brick Box (2015)
    • Set number: B2962
    • Pieces: 77
    • Accessories: Scoped pistol
Sold only at discount chains like Family Dollar, this version of Bumblebee uses the new 2015 style of Kreon hips and torso, with a hollow hip-peg and a central post inside the torso for increased grip... which also makes the torso incompatible with about four years' worth of Kreons. Nice. His face tampograph is new, but his torso uses the "Class of '84" deco.
The set comes with two bags of Kre-O parts, one coming from the first-year large Bumblebee (mostly all the small bits and the now-useless neck joint), the other "new" with some basic bricks and plates, as well as a set of axles, rims and tires. The set has no instructions, as it's just a box of bricks to makes whatever with.

(thumbnail)
Pele, BB. BB, Pele.
  • "Soccer Bumblebee" (2016)
    • Set number: B4023
    • Accessories: Soccer "ball", 2 cones
This unnamed polybag kit features Bumblebee in a yellow-and-black soccer getup, ready to kick the "ball" (actually a 1x1 studless round plate) around.
How and where this kit was to be released is unknown. A few bagged samples have appeared on eBay.
Your bargaining posture is highly dubious.

Proceed on your way to oblivion.
This item has been canceled, with no current plans for release.

Age of Extinction

KreO-toy Bumblebee AOE CellBlock.jpg
The "Cell Block Breakout" Bumblebee Kreon is based on his Camaro SS design from the first part of the Age of Extinction movie.
This set also includes a buildable Dinobot beast Strafe.

(thumbnail)
Sure, replacing their backpacks with magnets are funny, until he pays his own price.
"Galvatron Factory Battle" Bumblebee is based on his 2014 Camaro design. He comes with a ferrous-metal backpack, which can be attached to the magnetic crane in the factory playset, or any of the other magnets used through the line (or any other magnets you happen to have lying around, magnetism isn't that picky). He comes with a new-style robo-blaster with multiple clip-bars and posts to build off of.
This set also includes a buildable Dinobot raptor and a Galvatron super-robot.

(thumbnail)
Unknown to him, this was actually Ratchet's healing gun.
Available in the "Grimlock Unleashed" set, this version of Bumblebee has slight differences from the "Galvatron Factory Battle" Kreon: he has a different facial expression, and his torso tampographs feature bits of "battle damage". He carries a large black blaster rifle rather than the new pistol style, and lacks the metal backpack.

(thumbnail)
Now he's gonna slag that one scrapheap that made a prank by chroming his favorite yellow helmet.
  • Bumblebee (Custom Kreon, 2014)
    • Set number: A9229
    • Pieces: 30
    • Accessories: Rack, blaster, double barreled gun, club, wing-pack, extra body parts
Part of the Collection 2 of the Age of Extinction Custom Kreons, this Bumblebee comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his many many extra pieces. His "normal" helmet is chromed, plus he comes with an extra clear-plastic helmet, torso and legs. He also has a pair of extra arms (originally from the Kre-O Battleship aliens) plus a spare hand, as well as a buildable chainsaw-club, a double-barrelled gun, and an additional buildable gun. Like the Custom Kreon Optimus Prime, he also comes with an extra Wheeljack-style wing-pack.

(thumbnail)
"In the nameth of Primus, I shalt prank thou!"
Silver Knight Bumblebee is a redeco of the Age of Extinction Bumblebee Kreon, with much of his plastic now in metallic silver and pewter. He comes with a large sword (from the Kre-O Dungeons & Dragons series) rather than a blaster.
This five-pack of Kreons was not released in the US or Canada, only seeing release in various Asian markets.

(thumbnail)
Let's face it, you're not buying this set for the Bumblebee.
The "Decepticon Replicator" Bumblebee Kreon is identical to the one from the "Galvatron Factory Battle" set, only missing the magnet backpack and carrying a black blaster instead of copper.
This set was not made available in US or Canadian markets, seemingly only hitting stores in Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, and China. It was specifically sold at the "Transformers Exhibition" event in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from July 11 to July 20.

Robots in Disguise

(thumbnail)
Wait until this runs to a puddle of mud while someone's standing beside it.
  • Bumblebee Disc Demolisher (2015)
    • Set number: B0949
    • Pieces: 186
    • Kreons: Bisk, Bumblebee, Clampdown
    • Accessories: Blaster, stasis pod
Available only in the "Bumblebee Disc Demolishor" set, this Bumblebee based on his appearance in the Robots in Disguise series. He carries an Andorian blaster pistol from the Kre-O Star Trek line. He uses the new 2015 style of Kreon hips and torso, with a hollow hip-peg and a central post inside the torso for increased grip... which also makes them incompatible with about four years' worth of Kreons.
His massive vehicle, based on the character's vehicle mode, features a pop-up launcher in its trunk section, which fires plastic rings via pressure-launch. There is just enough space behind the windshield to seat a Kreon, though their noggin will stick out just a bit through a hole in the roof. The set also comes with a "stasis cell", used to imprison Kreons and kept shut with a rubber band.
Like the rest of the Robots in Disguise building sets, these sets were not released at normal retail in the US. They were sold in Taiwan and Singapore from January 2015, and later in Canada from May 2015. The eventually were made available in the US through "closeout" chains like TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshall's.

KreO-toy Bumblebee RID15 Custom.jpg
  • Bumblebee (Custom Kreon, 2015)
    • Set number: B1234
    • Pieces: 26
    • Accessories: Axe, Arm-cannon, Blaster pistol, Sniper rifle, transparent arms, body & helmet, rack
Part of the first assortment of Robots in Disguise Custom Kreons, this Bumblebee is the only one of the character with his battle mask deployed. He comes with a buildable parts rack on which to hang/store his extra pieces. Unlike the previous Custom Kreons, he doesn't have a chromed helmet, but he does come with the standard clear-plastic helmet, torso, and legs, plus clear-plastic normal Kreon arms. He also has a clip-on cannon, a sniper rifle, a blaster pistol, and a chromed axe.
Despite what the instructions say, the body piece cannot be pegged down between the leg parts installed on the display stand. However this can be amended by putting a 2x1 plate piece there to "mount" the torso slightly higher.

KreO-toy Bumblebee RID15 CustomArmor.jpg
  • Armor Up Bumblebee (Custom Kreon, 2017)
    • Set Number: B5709
  • Blizzard Strike Bumblebee (2017)
    • Set Number:B5713
  • Night Strike Bumblebee (2017?)
    • Set Number: ??
      • Pieces: 23
      • Accessories: Scoped pistol, torso armor, 2 shoulder armor pieces, 2 arm extensions, left & right leg extensions
Released without any prior announcement from Hasbro through Dollar General stores, the new type of Custom Kreon features extension parts for the arms and legs used for the China-exclusive Armor Hero Captor sets, as well as extra torso and shoulder armor, to make much larger, more posable Kreons. Each character comes in three color sets (in theory): "Armor Up", "Blizzard Strike" and "Night Strike", using the same parts, though every version comes with a different facial expression.
Be careful with the "Blizzard Strike" sets, as the clear-plastic clips used to secure the leg extensions are prone to cracking.
Only six of the twelve sets shown have seen release: Bumblebee's "Night Strike" coloration appears to be cancelled.

Kreon Warriors

(thumbnail)
Good luck starting a prank in a gladiator arena, Bee.
  • Gladiator Bumblebee (Kreon Warrior, 2015)
    • Collection: 1
    • Accessories: Sword, shield, display stand
Part of the first assortment of Kreon Warriors, Gladiator Bumblebee is an ancient-Roman-themed take on Bumblebee. He even has a set of "wooden" chariot wheels on his legs. Like all 2015-and-beyond Kreons, he uses the new-tooling body, leaving everything from the neck down incompatible with prior Kreon parts.
Unfortunately, the Kreon Warriors all came in bags that completely lack any way to identify the contents, forcing buyers to use the "feel through the bag" method to determine what's inside.
Like all Kreon Warriors, Gladiator Bumblebee was never released in the United States.

(thumbnail)
Nyah, bee? Nyah!
  • Wiseguy Bumblebee (Kreon Warrior, 2015)
    • Collection: 1
    • Accessories: Submachinegun, money, display stand
Part of the first assortment of Kreon Warriors, Wiseguy Bumblebee's armor indicates a snazzy 1920's luxury-car altmode. His submachinegun is built up with smaller parts (using an Uzi as its base).
Like all Kreon Warriors, Wiseguy Bumblebee was never released in the United States.

KreO-toy BumblebeeKW Army.jpg
  • Army Bumblebee (Kreon Warrior, 2015)
    • Collection: 2
    • Accessories: Machinegun, display stand
Part of the second assortment of Kreon Warriors, Army Bumblebee is ready for the trenches, decked out in a military beret and armed with a machinegun. His tampographs indicate a submarine altmode, befitting his underwater capabilities.
Like all Kreon Warriors, Bumblebee was never released in the United States.

KreO-toy BumblebeeKW Knight.jpg
  • Knight Bumblebee (Kreon Warrior, 2015)
    • Collection: 2
    • Accessories: Bow & arrow, quarrel backpack, display stand
Part of the second assortment of Kreon Warriors, Knight Bumblebee stings from afar with his handy (non-firing) bow and arrow. His "canhead" knight helmet and weaponry hail from the Kre-O Dungeons & Dragons sets.
Like all Kreon Warriors, Bumblebee was never released in the United States.

  • Samurai Bumblebee (Kreon Warrior, 2015)
    • Collection: 3
    • Accessories: 2 sickles, 2 pegged shuriken, display stand
Part of the canceled third assortment of Kreon Warriors, Samurai Bumblebee slices and dices with a pair of kama sickles, decked out in samurai armor.

Battle Changers

(thumbnail)
Prank first, then convert to run away.
  • Bumblebee (Battle Changers, 2015)
    • Set number: B0716
    • Pieces: 81
    • Accessories: 2 Pistols
Part of the new Battle Changers line, Battle Changers Bumblebee transforms from a vehicle that vaguely resembles a sports car with a proportions of a Volkswagen Beetle into a robot and back without removing any parts! Like all of the Battle Changers, Bumblebee uses the new hip piece using larger balljoints, as previously used by the Galvatron Kreon from the Galvatron Factory Battle set. The CG render noticably features a windshield sticker on Bumblebee's chest, which was removed from the final toy for unknown reasons.
Like the first line of the Battle Changers, Bumblebee available in selected Asian countries since December 2014.

Mini-Con Combiners

  • Bumblebee (Mini-Con Combiners, 2015)
    • Accessories: Small pistol, scoped pistol, Andorian blaster, Cobra Commander pistol
"Mini-Con Combiner"' Bumblebee comes with one standard Kreon and four Cityville-syle mini-Kreons of the same character, each one a different incarnation from various franchises. With some extra parts, the mini-Kreons become limbs to make a larger combiner-bot.
The torso-Kreon and one Mini-Con are based on versions of Generation 1 Bumblebee: Classics (with an arm-cannon instead of a hand-held blaster, oddly) and "Thrilling 30" Bumblebee (Prowl helmet) respectively. The remaining three Mini-Con Bumblebees are based on "Aligned" Bumblebee bodies: War for Cybertron (Bumblebee helmet), Prime (Ratchet helmet), and Rescue Bots (Jazz helmet).
First shown at New York Toy Fair 2015, the Mini-Con Combiners were apparently cancelled without fanfare... a decision that must have come late in the day, as they went on to star in their own promotional animation, "Stuck in a Tree", released about eight months after the trade show.
Your bargaining posture is highly dubious.
