Rapidly Reconfigurable RF Arbitrary Waveform Synthesis using a CMOS Silicon Photonic Chip

Abstract

We demonstrate nanosecond-reconfigurable RF waveforms with a time-domain synthesis method using a silicon photonic chip. The waveform is modulated by a synchronized silicon electro-optic intensity modulator embedded in the pulse shaper.
