Every year, ILGA produces maps on Gay and Lesbian rights in the world as well as its State Sponsored Homophobia report. You can download them on this page.

Founded in 1978, ILGA, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association is now an association of 1005 member-organisations in 117 countries campaigning for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex (LGBTI) rights.

To raise awareness on the extent of State Sponsored Homophobia in the world, we’ve created a few items you may want to use around you:

• Comparative charts on laws affecting lesbian and gays in every region
• ILGA State Sponsored Homophobia report. A world survey of laws prohibiting same sex activity between consenting adults. The research, by Jingshu Zhu and Lucas Paoli Itaborahy, Brazil, was updated in May 2013. 2013 Press release in English and Spanish.
• ILGA's maps on Lesbian and Gay rights (World, Asia and Oceania, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean)
• ILGA also offered to produce a design of the back of the maps to several organisations around the world in order for them to promote their work

3 /  Maps on Lesbian and Gay rights in the world, in Africa, in Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2013, ILGA's effort focused on producing new linguistic versions in order to reach out to more communities around the world. Thanks to the collaboration of organisations which either requested and funded the adaptation of the maps or/and collaborated in their translation and proofreading, we have also produced the maps in Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Montenegrin, Russian, Turkish, Urdu in addition to the English, Spanish, French and Portuguese versions.
