Christopher had intended to join the navy but at 15 he was spotted by an agent and became a member of the National Theatre then was cast in the film To Sir With Love but after starting it he was caught driving while disqualified resulting in him being banned for 3 and a 1/2 years but it was 17 years before he drove again, While working on location on the film Zulu Dawn he met Caroline, who was an extra, and they got married. On returning to England they ran a shop in Devon for a while before he returned to the stage in Peter O'Toole's Macbeth after which he was offered 6 weeks on on the television serial Emmerdale where he's been ever since. Living in Nottinghamshire he has a son, Ben born in 1982 and a daughter Rebecca born in 1984.
