Anatoli was born in Kharkov, Ukraine; he also went to music college
there where he learned his composing skills.
The director, Igor Miniyev, was also from Kharkov, although both Anatoli and Igor were not friends there. They later were in Paris where they recognized each other from their Kharkov days. It was there that the idea for The Flood was born.
