Two new character posters have arrived for British drama, Viceroy’s House and we can’t help thinking they have a link to Valentine’s Day. With Gillian Anderson gazing lovingly at her Husband, Lord Mountbatten (Hugh Bonneville) on one side and the young lover’s, Jeet and Aalia cosying up to each other.
Related: Viceroy’s House Trailer and Poster
Viceroy’s House is set in a time where men were seen to rule their women and these posters depict this in a blatant manner with both Lord Mountbatten and Jeet in regal, honourable stances ever so slightly in front of the ladies. Even though fitting for the time, to portray this on promotional posters in the 21st century makes them feel dated. Oh and while we are here does anyone else, after watching our previous trailer post for Viceroy’s House, think Gillian Anderson has...

Before she sang “Galavaaant” across the castles and fields of England, actress Karen David was filming in London for Atul Malhotra’s Brit Indie film Amar, Akbar & Tony. Amar, Akbar & Tony are three best friends who all are from different backgrounds. It is about the camaraderie and love between these three friends through trials, tribulations, predicaments they face and the happy times as they grow up and come of age.
In the comedy/drama, Karen plays the mysterious character of Meera, but that is all we know! What we do know is that according to director Atul, she has done an incredible job.
Stacey got the chance to catch up with Karen and had a fun, fabulous chat about the challenges playing Meera, what she thinks is so special about this Indie film and more! Enjoy!
I know when we last talked, you were telling me that filming was in the middle of your wedding?...

Along with the cast of the three main characters of childhood friends Amar (Rez Kempton), Akbar (Sam Vincenti) and Tony (Martin Delaney), the story of the coming of age film Amar Akbar & Tony, is also enhanced by the incredible actresses that are part of the world of Aat, including the fabulous Goldy Notay (It’s A Wonderful Afterlife) .
We have a fascinating interview with Goldy Notay, where she paints the picture of working on the independent film, plus she reveals why she loved the character of Sonia, tells a driving story with actress Karen David and so much more.
What was it about this character and the script that made you want to be a part of Amar Akbar and Tony?
I had a meeting with Atul (the Director) and thought he was such a great, no-nonsense guy. I was sent the script, which I not only found laugh-out-loud funny...
