AACTA award winning Mariot Kerr is one of Australia's leading and most in-demand costume designers across film and television.
Mariot was awarded the 2020 Best Costume Design AACTA for her work in the ABC-TV/Netflix acclaimed mini-series "Stateless".
From Matchbox Pictures, NBCUniversal and Cate Blanchett's Dirty Pictures, "Stateless", directed by Emma Freeman and Jocelyn Moorhouse, was also recognised by AACTA as Best Telefeature/ Mini-series and starred Blanchett, Yvonne Strahovski, Asher Keddie, Jai Courtney and Dominic West.
Mariot followed "Stateless" with the Tony Ayres Production/ Matchbox Pictures television series "Clickbait", for Netflix, and starring Adrian Grenier, Zoe Kazan and Betty Gabriel.
She recently completed work on the feature film "The Unknown Man", directed by Thomas M Wright. From See-Saw Films, Anonymous Content and Blue-Tongue Films, the crime thriller stars Joel Edgerton, Sean Harris and Jada Alberts.
Other recent credits include the Netflix sci-fi smash hit feature "I Am Mother", for which she was nominated for an Australian Production Design Guild (APDG) Award for Best Costume Design. "I Am Mother" starred Hilary Swank and Clara Rugaard and was directed by Grant Sputore.
Other credits include the recently released feature film "Escape From Pretoria", starring Daniel Radcliffe and directed by Francis Annan; "Wake In Fright", directed by Kriv Stenders and the recipient of seven AACTA nominations, including Best Costume Design for Mariot; HBO's critically-acclaimed series "The Leftovers", starring Justin Theroux and Liv Tyler; the Matchbox Pictures/NBCUniversal political thriller "Secret City", with Anna Torv and Jacki Weaver; Screentime's "Anzac Girls"; and "Deadline Gallipoli", from Matchbox Pictures/ NBCUniversal and starring Hugh Dancy, Sam Worthington and Charles Dance.
