The show’s sophomore season may have been a snowcapped misery tour for its characters, but Showtime’s pitch-black drama about cannibalistic teen survivors — and their adult trauma — did not cease to shock and entertain over the course of its nine-episode run this spring.

Season one of Yellowjackets ended with Jackie’s death and Shauna’s being filled with the pain and guilt of losing her best friend. In season two, we get to watch Shauna deal with the trauma of Jackie’s death in her own way. The girls did not bury Jackie for a while, which explains Shauna’s hallucinations. She imagines Jackie and herself conversing about their uncomfortable truths. This was Shauna’s way to deal with the tragedy and get rid of the guilt. The entire group grappled with the onset of winter, and things would only get worse for them. With Javi nowhere to be found, Travis is worried about his missing brother. He can only hope Javi will come back and is not engulfed by the wilderness. Nat and Travis were assigned to hunt and bring back as much meat as possible. And the duo was doing their best in that winter,...

Episode eight of season two of Yellowjackets ended with Natalie being chased out of the hut, for she was the one chosen by the wilderness to be sacrificed for their food. Natalie was ready to be killed when Travis forced her to leave the cabin. Javi helps Nat get to the large tree where he was resting during the winter. In that pursuit, Javi falls into the icy cold water, and Nat is stopped by the rest of the girls from saving him. The boy dies, and they have the kill they were looking for. The adults, too, gather around at Lottie’s commune when Shauna finally reveals that it was her husband who was blackmailing them, and she had to involve her daughter as well. Lottie starts spiraling and talking about how an unknown power brought them together at that spot. Will any of the women fall for Lottie’s words,...

This is it. The season finale of “Yellowjackets” Season 2, “Storytelling,” closes the loop on this chapter and overarching plot threads with fiery devastation. Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, The Invitation) returns to direct for the first time since the premiere, bringing some of the show’s themes full circle. While “Storytelling” may not bring the intense thrills of the last episode’s wilderness hunt, the events of this finale instead wreak havoc emotionally and ensure nothing will be the same going forward.
Picking up from the last episode, Travis (Kevin Alves) is immediately relieved to see Nat (Sophie Thatcher) arrive safely back at the cabin. His relief is short-lived when he sees Nat’s tearful, guilt-stricken face before the rest of the teens carry in his baby brother’s frozen body. While the group attempts to handle this new sacrifice and glean its spiritual meaning, their present-day counterparts attempt to...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Yellowjackets” Season 2 Episode 8, “It Chooses.”]
“Does a hunt that have no violence feed anyone?”
That’s the question posed to Lottie (Simone Kessell) by her “therapist” — quickly revealed to be her subconscious — in “Yellowjackets” Season 2, Episode 7, the question whose answer and meaning reveal themselves in ghastly fashion in Episode 8, “It Chooses.” Not only are our survivors starved and delirious, but they now hunger as much for food as for fight to acquire it.
Directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer and written by Sarah L. Thompson & Liz Phang, “It Chooses” is littered with indicators of everyone reaching the end of their tether during the bleak midwinter. There is hunger, there is starvation, and then there is whatever this is; exhaustion, blurred vision, hallucinations of blood spilling from the walls, cradling your pet mouse corpse and being tempted to take a bite out of his emaciated body. Only Nat (Sophie Thatcher) says it,...

This article contains spoilers for "Yellowjackets" season 2.
Since the premiere of "Yellowjackets" season 1, the show's fandom has been extremely passionate about sharing their theories and predictions online. Not since "Lost" has there arguably been such a popular and high-profile community dedicated to analyzing a serialized puzzle box show, which has been both beneficial and detrimental to the series' reception. Of course, it's always a good thing if a show can get people talking and connect viewers from across the world through a mutually shared interest, but wild speculation can also lead to disappointment if head-cannoned expectations aren't met by the show's final product.
Amidst the carnage and cannibalism exists a deeply empathetic show that explores grief, sorrow, rage, and all of the other so-called "negative" emotions we all experience but that are typically deemed socially unacceptable for women of any age to express. And by dissecting how those emotions manifest...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Yellowjackets” Season 2 Episode 6, “Qui.”]
“Yellowjackets” may be a twisted TV drama, but it’s tough to build a case that it pulls the rug out from under its audience. More often than not, things go how you’d expect them to, in a world where the ultimate twist is the one taken by fate when a flight crashed in the Canadian wilderness. Everything that follows, tragic as it is, has an inevitable kind of logic to it.
Episode 6, “Qui,” directed by Liz Garbus and written by Karen Joseph Adcock & Ameni Rozsa, is a crystal clear reminder of that. Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) is in labor, and the inevitability of her pregnancy brings a fierce reality check crashing down on the cabin. It ends up being a checkpoint, revealing every character’s truth in how they respond to the situation. Surprisingly, Misty (Samantha Hanratty) panics; as much as Hanratty embodies a smart little sociopath,...

Halfway through the first season of "Yellowjackets," Showtime's smash-hit series about a high school girls' soccer team who resorted to cannibalism to survive after their plane crashed in the Canadian wilderness, it was revealed that Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) is pregnant. Teenage pregnancy is hard enough as is, but enduring a pregnancy while stranded in the middle of the forest and surviving off of soup made from melted snow and random critters sounds like an impossibility.
To make matters even more complicated, the father of Shauna's baby is Jeff Sadecki, the man Shauna would later grow up to marry as an adult, but the boy who is currently dating her best friend Jackie. When Jackie discovers that her best friend and boyfriend were hooking up behind her back, it throws their friendship into such extreme conflict, it leads to Jackie's death.

Five episodes into Yellowjackets Season 2, the fate of Shauna's baby remains one of the show's biggest unanswered questions. Last season, viewers speculated that Shauna's baby was actually her lover, Adam Martin (Peter Gadiot), and while this theory is still in play, the timeline doesn't exactly add up, as Adam was slightly too old to have been born in 1997. Lynskey also dismissed the idea outright, calling it "the creepiest thing [she's] ever heard." She added, "Doesn't make any sense. Like why, what's the plan here?"...

In the second season of "Yellowjackets," Misty Quigley (Christina Ricci) and her reluctant bestie Natalie Scatorccio (Juliette Lewis) have been separated — one friend being kidnapped by a cult will do that. So now, Misty has a new partner in (solving) crime, Walter Tattersall (Elijah Wood). They're both part of the "Citizen Detective" online forum and Walter is hot on the trail of the disappeared artist Adam Martin (Peter Gadiot).
Misty always downvotes his theories — for good reason, because Shauna (Melanie Lynskey), another of her semi-friends, is the one who killed Adam. Misty even helped her clean up the crime scene back in season 1. However, Walter is a longtime admirer of "AfricanGrey" and when Misty turns to the forum for help in finding Natalie, he orchestrates an in-person meeting between them — both of them show up to it having gleaned each other's real names. Episode 2 of “Yellowjackets” Season 2 ended with Shauna and the rest of the girls devouring Jackie’s burnt flesh, which has not turned to ashes yet. This happened in the middle of the winter, when all of them were starving for some meat and weren’t getting any. Nat and Travis had a hard time finding a dead animal. The adult Shauna is trying hard to cover up the fact that she didn’t know Adam Martin, while Misty ends up getting contacted by someone who has a witness who might have seen what has happened to Natalie. Taissa, on the other hand, hallucinates her son being at her place, but it turns out he never came by. Amidst the terrifying conversation, Taissa and Simone get into a deadly car accident. How will the girls, now that they are amidst the worst winter they have faced, deal with the situation at hand?...

This is how the new character Walter presents himself in "Digestif," the third episode of "Yellowjackets" season 2 — although we still have much to learn about him. Showtime’s buzzworthy series Yellowjackets follows the survivors of a 1996 plane crash as they deal with an unforgiving and dangerous wilderness while waiting for rescue and in the present where they continue to deal with the trauma caused by the 19 months they spent alone. When we last left the Yellowjackets, both in the past and the present, things weren’t exactly working out for them. In the wilderness, Jackie (Ella Purnell) freezes to death in a freak snow storm, leaving the girls, especially Shauna distraught and worried about how they’ll survive the winter. Lottie (Courtney Eaton) further demonstrates her potential supernatural connection to the forest by somehow taming and killing a docile bear that wanders into their camp.

The Figure Four Weekly is reporting that The Rock is upset with the WWE. The belief is that “The Great One” is annoyed because of the WWE higher ups changing the original plans for Wrestlemania 29 on the day of the show. This comes on the heels of the torrent of wild rumours surrounding The Rock’s absence from last week’s Raw. The report continues to outline Sunday’s original plans. The original plan was said to have involved The Rock retaining the WWE title in the main event against John Cena before eventually dropping it to Cena at the Extreme Rules ppv show in May. This obviously didn’t happen.
The report then claims that “there is legitimate heat between the two [Cena] and they simply don’t get along in real life…the two are said to be cordial backstage…[but] you can tell there is tension between the two according to those backstage.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cm Punk is not currently been advertised for any house show events following Wrestlemania 29. This includes the upcoming European tour that begins on the 17th of April in the Netherlands. The news gets worse, Punk also isn’t advertised for taped events in May including the Extreme Rules PPV on May 19th.
This appears to be a move by the WWE to give him some time off to heal up. Punk has reportedly had a number of ongoing injuries as of late. It was this fact that put doubt on him even being involved at Wrestlemania earlier in the year. To quote Adam Martin, “WWE sources are denying he is suffering from any kind of an injury at the moment although he hasn’t been working live events heading into Wrestlemania.”

Winslet Sent Death Threats By Female Internet Stalker
Kate Winslet has received a string of email death threats from a woman stalker. The sinister fan, who calls herself Dina, says she wants to "rape her, kill her and just hit her" and has pledged to visit London to track down the pregnant Titanic (1997) actress. The threats have been left on Kate's fanclub website, KWFC, and originated from the literature department at the Aristotle University of Thessalonica, in Greece. Tuesday night, no one at the university was available for comment. Warnings about the threats were made to Kate's agents more than a week ago in an email headed "Winslet stalker info - urgent!" The message warned Kate's representative, Adam Martin of the London-based agents Peters, Fraser and Dunlop, "There could be harm for Kate." One message from the obsessed stalker refers to the star's new home in Britain. It reads, "That flat sounds cool...I can get her addy (internet slang for address) then!! hahaaaaaa." Kate is currently at home with husband Jim Threapleton after finishing work on the movie Enigma (2000). Their first child is due in September.
