Appears freqnently on the French stage. His Paris debut (1989) was in Michel Piccoli's production of David Mamet's "A Life in the Theater". He has also been seen in Shakespeare's "Richard III" (1996), François Bon's "La Vie de Myriam C" (1998) and Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler" (1999).
As a teenager, he and his friends formed a pop-rock band, "Alex de
Lys", for which he was singer/songwriter/guitarist, and he dropped his
studies at age 18 so they could perform on tour.
