Simon began his career with Producer Roger Corman for whom he wrote and directed cult-classics Brain Dead and Carnosaur. And with Tim Robbins and The Actors Gang where his and Robbins' award-winning plays have been staged around the world, including New York's Public Theater and the Main Stage of the Edinburgh Festival. In Television, he is Co-Creator and Executive Producer of Salem, Executive Producer and Writer of Hulu's Books of Blood and Co-Executive Producer and Writer of Fox's NeXt. His feature films include The Haunting in Connecticut and Bones. He has written for Oliver Stone, John Schlesinger, James Cameron, John Woo, Jackie Chan and many others; created miniseries and pilots for NBC, HBO, Showtime and USA networks and Sony television; directed and produced award winning documentaries for BBC, Channel Four and the Independent Film Channel - including The Typewriter, the Rifle & The Movie Camera and The American Nightmare. Amongst his teaching, lecturing and conference directing are his Masterclasses in writing at the Derek Jarmen Film Lab for the University of Pittsburgh's Film in London program.
