If you’ve been on the internet for any length of time since about 2013, you’ve run into the “Florida Man” meme, premised on the idea that, at any given moment, a Florida man is wilding out in a way that’s possibly criminal and definitely irrational. If a man is almost dying getting a lap dance from his housekeeper, snorting coke to hide evidence after fleeing a traffic stop or jogging shirtless in defiance of Hurricane Milton’s imminent landfall, he’s a Florida man. He’s been immortalized in a website, an Instagram feed, a subreddit and quasi-Olympic “Games” where competitors wrestle in muddy water and tussle while holding pitchers of beer. He used to be the subject of a Twitter feed collecting kooky stories, but its curator, Freddie Campion, retired it in 2019. As he told Logan Hill for a piece in the Washington Post that year, Campion shut it down after wondering,...

Anyone feeling ‘sus’ about the upcoming Among Us series adaptation can rest assured the show will feature all of the game’s fun and gore.
That’s according to Owen Dennis, who is creating and exec producing the popular mobile game’s transfer to TV screens. He lifted the lid on the project in an interview ahead of his session at Italy’s Mia Market today. Deadline is moderating the talk, which takes place at the Cinema Barberini in Rome.
Per the logline, the series is based on the game’s premise: “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter intent on causing confusion, sabotaging the ship, and killing everyone. Root out the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to its murderous designs.”
A splashy cast includes Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey), Liv Hewson (Yellowjackets), Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is The New Black), Randall Park, Ashley Johnson, Yvette Nicole Brown and Elijah Wood.

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has now been delayed from October 14th, 2024 until 2025. That means diehard fans will have to wait even longer to see Pat Sajak’s final spin. This is disheartening for those who do not care for Ryan Seacrest, who Pat passed the torch for Season 42. So, why has this happened? Keep reading for more details.
Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune Delayed Until 2025
Fans were thrilled to learn that Pat Sajak would be back for one more spin on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. When he announced he would be leaving WoF at the end of Season 41, there were mixed emotions. Some felt he had gotten bitter and angry while others could not see the game show with another host. Ryan Seacrest was soon named as his replacement and, again, mixed feelings. The “Florida Man” jokes have been online for a few years. Now, HBO Max is making a documentary about it.
Here is what you need to know about the new HBO Max docuseries.

Everyone knows that Florida is a crazy place where things happen that don’t happen anywhere else. HBO’s new late-night comedy series “It’s Florida, Man” celebrates that wackiness, telling ripped-from-the-headlines tales from the Sunshine State in a genre-defying way that’s something like a cross between true crime documentary and sketch comedy, or as someone says in the YouTube comments for the trailer released today, “Drunk History: Florida Man Edition.”
“As stories get wilder, more often than not, they’re not true,” says Carl Hiaasen, the novelist (“Bad Monkey”) and newspaper columnist who’s one of Florida’s foremost chroniclers. “But in Florida, they’re all true.”
The series hails from creator Mark Herwick and director Jeff Tomsic, who executive produce alongside “The Righteous Gemstones” EPs Danny McBride and Brandon James, with Bryan Storkel. The show features interviews from everyday Floridians about the stranger-than-fiction things that have happened to them.

Shell is a film made with the intention of being a guilty pleasure. It wants to be the film one would encounter on cable in the middle of the day or late at night. Many films have become popular this way, especially before the days of streaming: scrappy little films with a campy sense of humor and talented cast getting to play around and stretch their acting muscles in ways that feel low-stakes for their career. Worst case scenario, the film becomes a curiosity — not good, but fascinating enough in its badness. And the best-case scenario is becoming one of those hidden gems that have a second life on home video.
That’s clearly what director Max Minghella is aiming for with Shell, a campy horror dark comedy about the unfairness of beauty standards in modern society. Six years after his directorial debut, Teen Spirit, Minghella is back at the...

We haven't seen Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, when the powerful former Avenger found some redemption for her villainous deeds by destroying every copy of the Darkhold and bringing a mountain down on top of herself.
A lot of fans were of the opinion that Wanda's "heel turn" didn't feel earned, and that the character's switch to a full-on villain between the events of WandaVision and the Doctor Strange sequel didn't really make complete sense. This is certainly debatable, but it seems Olsen might happen to agree!
While being interviewed about her latest movie, His Three Daughters, by Irish radio station FM 104, Olsen was asked about potentially reprising the role in the MCU, and responded with the following.
“It's a character I love going back to when there's a way to use her well and I think I've been lucky when...

While X-Men '97 was a hot favourite to win the Emmy for "Outstanding Animated Program" yesterday evening, the Marvel Animation series was beaten by Netflix's Blue Eye Samurai.
That relatively obscure adult animation series also soundly defeated The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, and Scavengers Reign.
While some of Blue Eye Samurai's fanbase might take issue with it being described as "obscure," it certainly didn't receive the same level of mainstream attention as Marvel Studios' X-Men: The Animated Series revival. Still, that never matters when it comes to awards and the show was clearly deemed superior.
Heading into the first night of the 76th Emmys, it had already picked up wins for "Character Design," "Storyboard," and "Production Design," so this probably shouldn't come as a huge surprise.

We recently got word that Avengers: Age of Ultron star James Spader is set to return as the titular villain for the planned Disney+ Vision series, and the trade report strongly hinted that Elizabeth Olsen will also reprise her WandaVision role as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch.
Daniel Richtman followed-up by claiming that Olsen was "a lock" for a Marvel project that will film in 2025 (it's worth noting that Avengers: Doomsday is also scheduled to begin shooting next year), and mentioned that the Vision show will "have elements of West Cost Avengers."
Now, the scooper is reporting that members of the Wca might feature in the WandaVision spin-off.
This chapter of Earth's Mightiest Heroes was formed by Hawkeye in the '80s, and while numerous members have come and gone over the years, the original line-up included Vision, Mockingbird, Wonder Man, Tigra, and Iron Man (with Rhodey in the armor)

On Friday, the news broke that Avengers: Age of Ultron star James Spader is set to return as the titular villain for the planned Disney+ Vision series, which is now being described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along."
Ultron was destroyed by Vision (Paul Bettany) towards the end of the Avengers sequel, and while we're not sure exactly how he'll be reintroduced, it sounds like the character won't just be returning for a cameo.
According to Daniel Richtman, the all-powerful AI will "have a major role in the show." The scooper has also heard that the Vision series "will have elements of West Cost Avengers."
This chapter of Earth's Mightiest Heroes was formed by Hawkeye in the '80s, and the original line-up also included Vision, Mockingbird, Wonder Man, Tigra, and Iron Man (with Rhodey in the armor). Whether...

We haven't seen the supervillain known as Ultron since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, and fans have been wondering if the evil AI might make his return to the MCU ever since.
Now, THR is reporting that James Spader is set to reprise the role for the planned Disney+ Vision series, which is being described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along."
Ultron was created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner to be part of a peacekeeping program that was meant to "put a shield around the Earth" as a defence against invasion, but the AI ended up turning against humanity and was ultimately destroyed by his "son" Vision towards the end of Age of Ultron.
How he will be reintroduced remains to be seen.

Blue Eye Samurai is hands down one of the best adult animated shows on Netflix. Back in December 2023, the show was renewed for a second season, and fans have been patiently waiting for new updates on the upcoming installment. As of Aug. 19, we received some new information on season 2, but unfortunately, it's not good news at all.
During an August 2024 interview with Collider, Blue Eye Samurai creators Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, producer and director Jane Wu, and sound supervisor Myron Nettinga revealed some new information about the second season, like where they are in the production process, how many episodes there will be, and when fans can expect it to come out.
According to Green and Noizumi, we will see a cut in the total episode count for season 2. Instead of there being eight episodes like in season 1, there will only be six episodes in the second season. However,...

Agatha All Along will introduce Joe Locke as a mysterious "Teen" believed to Billy, aka Wiccan, and it seems Marvel Studios' other upcoming WandaVision spin-off may feature his twin brother.
According to Daniel Richtman, the Vision series (previously known as Vision Quest) is eyeing Euphoria breakout Javon Walton to play another "Teen," who will presumably turn out to be Tommy, aka Speed.
Billy and Tommy were introduced as the children of Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) in WandaVision. They were ultimately revealed to be constructs of the Westview Anomaly, and were erased from existence when Wanda dispelled the Hex.
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, a vengeful Scarlet With makes it her mission to track down alternate universe variants of the twins, but finally comes to terms with the fact that she can never be reunited with the sons she lost in the WandaVision finale.

When looking at the reception they’ve received for “Blue Eye Samurai,” show creators Michael Green and Amber Noizumi see one recurring bit of flattery that really delights them. “One of the best compliments we’ve gotten is people keep asking us, where did you get the rights to the books and we have to remind them there were no books. We just thought of it. It was an idea Amber and I had been thinking of for a really long time,” Green reveals to Gold Derby during our recent web chat (watch the exclusive video interview above). The idea actually stemmed from when the couple had their daughter who they nicknamed Blue Eye Samurai after the features she had due to her being of mixed race. “We sat on the idea a long time, not sure quite what to do with it until, finally, the idea of doing it...

Following persistent rumors, we got confirmation that a new Disney+ WandaVision spin-off focusing on The Vision was in development at Marvel Studios back in 2022, but it seems the "Vision Quest" project has been completely revamped.
Variety reports that a new, untitled Vision series is in the works, with Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas on board as showrunner. The show is currently on track for a 2026 premiere.
Matalas' work on Picard is said to have "greatly impressed the top brass at the studio. Marvel chief Kevin Feige, an avowed Trekkie, even recently appeared with Matalas on a two-hour episode of the Star Trek podcast Inglorious Treksperts.”
Paul Bettany will reprise his role as the McU's tragic synthezoid. There's no mention of Elizabeth Olsen's (Scarlet Witch) potential involvement, but the trade does note that the series will take place after the events of WandaVision, "as ghost Vision presumably explores his new purpose in life.

‘Succession’ has gone out with one final bang: The HBO drama won two Writers Guild of America Awards on Sunday night — the most of any series — for best drama series and also for best drama episode. Creator Jesse Armstrong was on hand in New York to accept the award, while several of the show’s writers were also in LA to accept the honor.
This reps the final major awards show where “Succession” (which ended its run last May) was still eligible. Besides best drama, the show also won the episodic drama prize, for the episode “Living+,” written by Georgia Pritchett and Will Arbery.
The WGA Awards recognized the best of 2023’s television and film via its annual event held this year at the Hollywood Palladium for the West Coast edition and at New York’s Edison Ballroom for the East Coast ceremony.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine alumna Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb (The Act) and Ben Rappaport (For the People) are set as leads in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC’s drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club — three of them played by Fumero, Robb and Rappaport — all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.
Fumero plays Birdie. Entitled, rich, swathed in Chanel, a smoker, a drinker, self-destructive at times, toxic at others, but not without real pain beneath her facade, Birdie is a successful author whose memoir, “Digging for Gold: Dancing Through Divorce,” is a bestseller.
Robb plays Alice, your favorite high school English teacher, a dreamer whose best dreams are crashing down on her. She’s a longtime...

Seal the vents and watch the monitors because Patton Oswalt, Debra Wilson, Phil Lamarr, and Wayne Knight are getting sus for CBS Studios‘ Among Us animated series.
In the adaptation of the wildly popular social deception game, Patton Oswalt is the voice of White, a contest winner who abides by the mantra of no trauma, no drama. Oswalt’s White would instead leave the heavy lifting to others and believes wealth can be a personality trait.
Debra Wilson voices Yellow, also known as Ship Cook #1. Indignant, opinionated, and a relentless prankster, Yellow’s pleasure is making pizza and sharing a slice with their best friend, Brown (Lamarr).
Phil Lamarr voices Brown, also known as Ship Cook #2. Unlike Yellow, Brown is chill, supportive, and accountable. Brown is a pizza enthusiast and a fan of Yellow’s shenanigans.
Wayne Knight voices Lime, the ship’s Engineer. Lime is a doomsday prepper and...

It's part of a larger world, one where pre-existing characters can veer in and out of the narrative at seemingly any moment. But that's part of what made "Loki," the Disney+ series that began in June 2021, so fun.
