Khoren Indzhyan is a Soviet boxer, USSR heavyweight champion, bronze medalist of the European heavyweight championship. He began boxing at the age of 16 under the guidance of Levon Oganesyan. In 1976 he was the champion of the USSR and the European champion among youth (under 20 years old). He achieved the most significant successes in his sports career in 1979. In May of this year, he was included in the USSR national team at the European Championships in Cologne, where he reached the semi-finals and became a bronze medalist. In the summer, he won the USSR Championship and the gold medal at the VII Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR, within the framework of which it was held. In October, he took part in the first World Cup in New York and reached the finals of these competitions. In 1983 he ended his amateur boxing career. Since 1990 he lived in Los Angeles (USA). In 1995-1997 he performed in the professional ring.
