Cobalt Pictures has acquired foreign distribution rights to the human trafficking thriller Pursuit Of Freedom starring Jessica Koloian, Stelio Savante, Robia Scott, Sharonne Lanier, Brayden Eaton, Tenley Kellog, Elias Kemuel, Mark Lowry and Robert Amaya.

Pursuit Of Freedom is the true story of a Ukrainian woman (Koloian) who was separated from her three children and sold into trafficking by Russian gangsters. After years of struggle, she defied all odds with the help and kindness of a Dutch nurse (Lanier), an Armenian missionary (Savante), and an American pastor (Amaya). Though countries, miles, and time kept them apart, she held onto her faith and with the help of the church and strangers, survived to be reunited with her children. Written and directed by NATAS Lgl Emmy® Award-Winning director George A. Johnson, executive produced by Lonnie Norris and Connie Norris, and produced by George A. Johnson, Karen Johnson and Stelio Savante.

There are (at time of press) more than 60 feature-length filmed adaptations of Stephen King's works intended for cinematic release. That's without counting television adaptations, works currently in production, or short films. Perhaps the kindest thing I can say about The Boogeyman is that it's one of them.

The short films include two previous versions of this story with the same title. One from 2014 by Bobby Easley, a genre director/actor himself. His later adaptations include Hp Lovecraft's Witch House where he played (the voice of?) a Doctor's Office. Another from 2010 by Gerard Lough, part of a career perhaps more notable for music videos. A similarly titled film by Stephen Kay drops the definite article and claims no direct inspiration. Perhaps as well, as while he's helmed a lot of episodes for prestige TV the reward for his late Nineties Beat-generation film The Last Time I Committed...

Chicago – The “Scream Queen” is a venerable show business category, and there are few better practitioners of the art than Portia Chellelynn. Her latest scream role is in “H.P. Lovecraft’s Witch House” – directed by Bobby Easley – which has just been released on digital through Video-On-Demand and DVD.

“H.P. Lovecraft’s Witch House” – loosely based on the Lovecraft novel – has Chellelynn as an escapee from domestic abuse, who resurrects her graduate thesis on geometrical shapes and their use in the practice of witchcraft. She is also staying in a local haunted house near campus, and her research causes some weird vibrations to begin among the residents and the house itself. Bobby Easley directs a stylish and layered film, full of ominous tones and witchy gore.

The Devil Dogs of Kilo Company is a brilliantly conceived, animated WWII epic, which is written and directed by Bobby Easley for a 2015 release. The assistant director of the feature film is Terence Muncy and the engineer is Tom Roosa. Easley, both a director and actor and the CEO of Horror Wasteland Pictures International, is known for “The Boogeyman;” “The River Runs Black;” “Scream Machine;” “All Sinners Night;” and “X.” “All Sinners Night” has distribution through Mvd Entertainment Group, Wwmm and Chemical Burn.
