Had a troubled childhood with substance abuse at a young age. Later started training Judo and Karate at a local gym. That motivated him to go cold turkey on all drugs. Since 1995 he had a successful career as a professional MMA fighter. He won the 1997 M-1 Global World Championship. Schrijber retired in 2005.
