Freeway Jr.
- Actor
Freeway, Jr. was a charismatic, scene-stealing Lowchen dog (real name was Dirty Harry) who appeared in a series of eight two-hour "Hart to Hart" television movies between 1993 and 1996 almost a decade after the original series ended. The first five movies aired on NBC as part of the network's "Friday Night Mystery Movie" series; the final three were broadcast on The Family Channel. Freeway, Jr. was the real-life son of Freeway, an 8-year-oid Lowchen who was rescued from an animal shelter (known as Charlie Gray in real life) and went on to star as the prized family dog of two rich globe-trotting amateur sleuths Jonathan and Jennifer Hart (played by Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers) in the long-running television series for ABC. In 1993, Freeway, Jr. made his acting debut in the first "Hart to Hart" television movie, "Hart to Hart Returns," in which Wagner playfully referred him in scenes together as simply, "Junior."
