Aris Kaplanidis is a Greek filmmaker, screenwriter, comedian, music
producer & illustrator. He studied painting and illustration to
Ornerakis Applied School of Graphic Arts and with his debut short film
("Tsonta" - 2007) he earned a scholarship to Hellenic Cinema &
Television School Stavrakos where he studied film directing.
He is one of the co-founders of Chainfree - Greek Network of Independent Filmmakers.
He is founder and member of the sketch comedy ensemble "Mourga" under the umbrella of ComedyLab Network.
He is also a vocalist, lyricist and music producer of the comedy rap band "Tripa Crew". Since 2013 Tripa Crew is part of Imiz Biz Entertainment, the record label of Imiskoumbria.
From 2002 up to 2014 he directed 11 films including 2 long length features. His latest feature is called "A Gospel According to Life".
He occasionally works as a freelance video clip director, editor and graphic artist. In the past 2 years he directed 14 video clips for various artists including Mithridatis from Imiskoumpria, Dimitris Rallis and George Vavanos.
