Kaleb Nation
- Director
- Producer
- Actor
Born in the
tiny city of Orange, Texas - best known for a street of manufacturing
plants called "Chemical Row" - Kaleb's first introduction to media
happened when he was 13. After jokingly calling a local radio station
about a job, Kaleb was suddenly offered an on-air position every
weekend. After his family moved from the area and he was unable to
drive a car due to his age, Kaleb began recording the shows on his own.
Using a still-in-its-infancy Internet for promotion, his program "The
Top 5" quickly became nationally syndicated and grew to be broadcast on
stations in over 20 states and countries. Few of his affiliates
realized he was a teenager recording the shows in his bedroom.
Using his platform as a teenage radio host, Kaleb began to produce online videos for his fans in 2008, many of which began to appear on television. As a producer and host, Kaleb's work has been viewed over 50,000,000 times. Kaleb's videos have appeared on MTV, Buzzfeed, Mashable, The Huffington Post, and more. In 2012, Kaleb partnered with media leader PMC to host pop-culture program "The 60SR Show".
Kaleb has made cameo appearances in many music videos, including the lead in "Princess Charming" by Megan & Liz, "Come With Us" by Lindsey Stirling, "Google That Sh*t" by Taryn Southern, and "Warm Bodies" by Hillywood.
At age 20, Kaleb's debut novel "The Farfield Curse" was published in the USA, UK, and Canada on 9/9/09. His second book "The Specter Key" was published on 10/10/10. This was followed by another book in a new series titled "Harken" in January 2013. His writing was featured on NPR's "All Things Considered" in 2011.
Kaleb resides in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Taylor, their two dogs, Selfie & Hippie, and Chilla the Chinchilla.
