He graduated from SUNY Farmingdale where he double majored in Automotive Engineering and Industrial Management Technology with a minor in Business Administration. However, after graduating in the financial crisis of 2008, with unemployment rates at a record high, jobless and in debit, he took that as a sign to follow a different path.
Embracing his passion for acting, he honed his craft in New York before earning acceptance into Harvard University's prestigious MFA program for Acting. Further refining his skills, Kota embarked on a residency at Stanislavski's Moscow Art Theater School in Russia.
On television his impressive resume includes standout roles in comedy series I-Carly:Reboot"/Paramount Plus, Funny or Die's "ESL: English is the Second Language". Additional credits include recurring on "Ordinary Joe"/NBC, guest starring in "CSI: Vegas"/CBS, Ryan Murphy's "9-1-1", Freeform's "Famous In Love", and recurred on Extant"/CBS with Halle Barry.
