Joana Almeida, born on January 9, 1984, is Oporto, is a Portuguese actress and singer known for Al Berto (2017), Cabaret Maxime (2018) and Quero-te Tanto! (2019).
At the age of 6 enrolled in her music training in Academia de Música de Vilar do Paraíso, achieving her 8th degree in Piano, Vocal and Ballet (Royal Academy of Dancing).
Gratuated in Artistic Studies (Coimbra University) works in theatre, musical theatre, television and cinema.
Joana Almeida works since 1997 in cinema and theatre and recently participated with leading role in "Al Berto" by Vicente Alves do Ó and an American cinematographic co-production "Cabaret Maxime" by Bruno de Almeida.
In Theatre worked with Maria João Luís, Graham Vick, Ricardo Neves-Neves, Ana Ribeiro, António Duarte, Emílio Sagi, Ricardo Alves, Filipe La Féria, Henrique Feist, Ana Padrão and Carlos Artur Thiré.
In music worked with José Mário Branco, Rita Redshoes, Gimba, Irmãos Catita, Ena Pá 2000, Samuel Quedas, Andrej Babic and Rui Massena.
Joana speaks Portuguese, perfect American English and excels both comedy and drama.
