Elisabeth 'Babeth' Patte is a French born director and animation director. She played a critical role in the production of Despicable Me 1 and 2 and Minions, where she served as the director of background characters, helping develop the personalities, movements and attitudes of the sweet and subversive Minions. She studied at SupInfoCom, one of France's most world renowned animation school. Since 1998, she's been one of Pierre Coffin's closest collaborators (director of the Despicable Me franchise). After having worked as an animator and an animation director for 15 years at Illumination Mac Guff in France, she joined Illumination in Los Angeles in 2015 to direct animated custom creative content for promotional partnerships and campaigns tied to Illumination films.
