Born in the capital of Minas Gerais, she grew up in Passos, where, at school, she had her first contact with the theater. Already in the first year of the Publicity and Propaganda course at the Newton Paiva University Center, she discovered that that was not her vocation. Even so, she finished graduation and, after graduating, entered the performing arts course at PUC-MG. Her first work as an actress was the play Um Espírito Downloaded in Me, in 2003, with which she was on display for three years.
After this period, she moved to Rio de Janeiro, where she studied Film Direction at Escola Darcy Ribeiro. From there, she went to the United States to work on the feature film The French Teacher and study cinema at Marymount College, in California. She returned to Rio to, among other works, participate in the miniseries O Caçador, from Rede Globo, opposite Cauã Reymond.
Fernanda also directed a short film, A Lança e o Dragão, from 2015, screened at two international festivals, such as 20MINMAX, in Germany. At Record, she acted in the soap operas Milagres de Jesus, A Terra Prometida, Genesis, Os Dez Mandamentos and Jezebel, produced in Morocco.
