Itamar Ben Zimra is a composer, arranger and a performing clarinetist in variety of styles. He developed passion for storytelling with music and devoted himself to the world of cinema. His passion for animation and ability to create colorful sounds with an orchestra led him to recently compose the score to Warner Bros. Animation "Tom and Jerry in New-York" show.
As a clarinetist, he has performed with jazz giants such as Phil Woods, Anat Cohen, Damian Draghici, and Tigran Hamasyan, as well as Yoni Rechter, one of Israel's main cultural assets and song writers.
Born to an artistic family, a photographer and theater director mother, a graphic designer father and a filmmaker sister, Itamar studied jazz performance and composition at the Thelma Yellin high school for the performing arts. He served as a clarinetist and arranger in a military orchestra, and graduated from Berklee college of music with a degree in film music.
Based in Los Angeles, Itamar has composed music to various film and TV projects, from animation to a feature documentary and short films.
