Houda Lakhdar is a Moroccan filmmaker based in Casablanca. She graduated from ESAV Marrakech specializing in Directing and Producing, and became a Film Independent fellow in Los Angeles since 2016 through the Global Media Makers program. Her short film "Zahra" (2012) toured international festivals, elevating her among promising Moroccan filmmakers in the region early on. Passionate about Cinema, she founded the blog "Cinéma-Maroc" and led her way through digital communication by becoming Head of Communication of the company Ali n' Productions. After being in charge of distributing acclaimed films like "Adam" (2019) by Maryam Touzani or "Casablanca Beats" (2021) by Nabil Ayouch in Morocco, Lakhdar later served as Head of editorial content for film organizations such as international film festivals.
