another hilarious mo lei tau film. funny as heck. comparative to "Chinese odyssey 2002". very influenced by earlier Chau Sing Chi and Ng Man-tat films. also if you've seen most the "journey to the west" adaptations, you'll find this to be golden. this film does make sense and contains random characters from Chinese history to mythology and so on. It parodies films from Su Qi-Er to Ip Man to of course, Chau's classic pair of films A Chinese Odyssey. Mo lei tau films definitely aren't for everyone but they smash any "slapstick" films Hollywood has ever released.
