During the opening credits, there is a scene showing Petrocelli's office window on the second floor of an old building that says "Navajo Indian Trading Post" on the side. That remodelled building, which was a curio shop, still stands in downtown Tucson, Arizona.
NBC cancelled the series in 1976 without airing three episodes: "The Pay Off", "Shadow of a Doubt", and "Jubilee Jones". Those segments eventually aired in syndication.
Petrocelli drives a Chevrolet pickup truck with a "Winnebago KAP Cover" brand camper top on the back.
Petrocelli does not like to pay for parking. He has a few little tricks he uses to avoid parking fees.
There is a running gag that continues though the Petrocelli TV series where people will mispronounce Petrocelli's last name.
