Vic wrote a book about his wife Cat who was confined to a mental hospital ,in the wake of her lover's and her child's-she got pregnant by him- death .On the day of her release ,the cheated writer comes to pick her up;they are joined by Aina ,herself a former inmate of a mental home ,but Vic does not have a clue about it.All he wants to do is win his wife back ,but Aina gets jealous for she is in love with Cat.

Gerard Vergez's precedent movie "Bras De fer" ,featuring the same actor ,Christophe Malavoy,had a melodramatic but effective screenplay and Malavoy was cast with another talented thespian Bernard Giraudeau.

"Deux Minutes De Soleil En Plus ",with the best will in the world ,looks terribly mediocre ;sometimes ,it looks like a Neo New Wavelet leftover : loose script(and I mean loose!),endless wandering in Vic's convertible,stay in the luxury Negresco hotel,hang-gliding ;add nudity for good measure .

Two actresses left to their own devices ,shouting,screeching and gesticulating without much purpose ...And the male lead wondering why he's got involved in that business.

This depiction of lunacy fails totally to convince.
